Ranchi, March 17: Alok Kumar Dubey, General Secretary of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, strongly criticized the statements made by former BJP Chief Ministers Raghubar Das and Babulal Marandi. He accused them of attempting to incite communal violence by provoking people over the Giridih incident.

Dubey emphasized that under the current government, opposition leaders are allowed to visit crime scenes. In contrast, in BJP-ruled states, the opposition is often stopped by police and restricted from reaching such locations. However, he asserted that if opposition leaders do visit crime scenes, their priority should be to promote social harmony and goodwill rather than provoke tensions or issue challenges.

Criticizing the former BJP Chief Ministers’ remarks, Dubey claimed that the BJP is fearful of the Hemant Soren government’s popularity and secular stance. He argued that this fear has led the BJP to make baseless statements in an attempt to destabilize Jharkhand’s elected government. He further stated that the people of Jharkhand recognize this strategy of disrupting social harmony and will not allow such efforts to succeed.

Dubey also responded to statements made by Babulal Marandi and Raghubar Das, asserting that governance in Jharkhand will be based on the rule of law and the Constitution, not dictated by religious interests. He warned that no one would be allowed to challenge or manipulate the law. Referring to Raghubar Das’s alleged threats to the Superintendent of Police (SP), Dubey demanded that an FIR be filed against him and that he be arrested.
