Bijapur, Sept 12: Security forces gunned down two Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district during an encounter on Friday, officials confirmed.
The operation, carried out in the south-western part of the district, also led to the recovery of a .303 rifle, a cache of explosives, and other weapons.

Though the exact location of the forces has not been disclosed for security reasons, officials said a search operation had been launched in the region.
They added that further information regarding the encounter would be shared later.
