Ranchi, Nov. 28: Chief Minister Hemant Soren, in his first cabinet meeting after taking office, approved convening a special session of the Assembly on Thursday from December 9 to December 12.
In this session, CM Hemant Soren will get the vote of confidence. Stephen Marandi has been made the Protem Speaker for the special session.
Decision to give Rs 2500 from December
Soren also instructed officials to give an honorarium of Rs 2500 to women under the Maiyaan Samman Yojana from December in any case.
The cabinet also decided to initiate legal action for the recovery of Rs. 1,36,000 crores (which is outstanding against the Central Government/Central PSUs.
The cabinet also decided to constitute a special cell in the Finance Department to find new sources of income for the state, increase the old taxes applicable in the mining sector and expedite the pending recovery in judicial cases.
The cabinet also decided to review the future examination process for police recruitment.
An all-party committee on tea tribes in Assam
The cabinet also decided to form an all-party committee for Jharkhandis working in the tea gardens of Assam. The committee will submit the entire report to the government. At the same time, all the departments were instructed to work on bringing the pending amount to the central government. Instructions were given to prepare the annual calendar of the JPSC and the JSSC.
