The centre was inaugurated by Ashok Bhagat, Padma Shri awardee, who has been working for tribal development in Jharkhand for over 40 years. His presence at the event highlighted the long-standing commitment toward empowering tribal communities through education and social initiatives.

Focus on Holistic Development of Tribal Children

The coaching centre will provide children not only with academic support but also with resources essential for their overall intellectual growth. Organizers emphasized that rural and tribal areas are rich in talent, but children often lack proper guidance, exposure, and opportunities. The new initiative aims to bridge this gap by offering structured learning support and mentorship.

This step is expected to strengthen educational access in one of the most remote parts of Khunti district, where limited infrastructure and socio-economic challenges have historically restricted academic advancement.

Long-Term Impact on Tribal Education

Ashok Bhagat has consistently advocated education as a key tool for tribal empowerment. Over the past four decades, his work through Vikas Bharti has focused on sustainable development, education, skill-building, and self-reliance among indigenous communities. The inauguration of this coaching centre adds another dimension to ongoing efforts to create opportunities for tribal youth in remote regions.

The initiative is expected to enhance confidence among children, reduce dropout rates, and prepare students for higher education and competitive examinations in the future.

Community Participation

The programme was attended by Prof. Pradeep Munda, Mahavir Singh Munda, Guruwa Munda, Shyamlal Munda, Basant Ohdar, Ravindra Bhagat, and other community members. Children and parents from across the panchayat were present at the event.
