Jamshedpur, Nov 5: “Like the people in Haryana voted the BJP-led NDA to power once again, the people here in Jamshedpur and elsewhere in Jharkhand should vote for the NDA in the ensuing assembly elections in the state so that the people may take the benefits of the double engine government here,” said the senior BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath while addressing a public meeting here in the steel city on Tuesday.

The meeting was organised at Ambagaan ground in Sakchi located at the heart of the city where thousands attended it to hear the leader who is considered to be a firebrand leader.

While addressing the gathering Yogi Adityanath called upon the people to ensure the victory of the NDA candidates who are in the fray from Jamshedpur West, Jamshedpur East, Jugsalai and Potka constituencies if they want to bring about corruption-free and people-friendly government in Jharkhand.

During his speech, the UP chief minister declared a series of bonanzas which included payment of Rs 2,100 per month to each woman under Gogo Didi scheme, free supply of LPG cylinder on the occasion of Holi and Rakshabandhan, supply of LPG cylinders at a cost of Rs 500 only, government jobs to 2,87,000 youths and Rs 2,000 as monthly allowances to every unemployed graduate if the NDA government is voted to power.

Yogi highlights issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators

The senior BJP leader said the INDI Alliance government led by JMM is set upon to destroy the socio-economic structure of this tribal-dominated state by allowing the Bangladeshi infiltrators to garner latters’ votes.

“In Santhal Pragana, the population of tribals has diminished considerably. Even the Jharkhand High Court mooted to carry out a demographic census there in view of the serious situation arising due to the influx of the infiltrators especially in Santhal Pragana, but the JMM-led INDI alliance government is not paying heed to such things, ” deplored the visiting UP chief minister.

He asserted that once the NDA government is set up in the state all the infiltrators settled in Santhal Pragana and elsewhere in Jharkhand will be identified and deported from here.

At the meeting, Shraban Kumar who is a minister from Bihar was present beside Jamshedpur MP, Bidyut Baran Mahto. Apart from them, Jamshedpur West’s NDA candidate Sarayu Roy, Jamshedpur East BJP candidate Purnima Das, Potka’s BJP candidate Meera Munda and Jugsalai’s NDA candidate, Ramachandra Sahis were present.
