Woman Agniveer trainee commits suicide in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 28: Police reported on Tuesday that a 20-year-old woman undergoing Agniveer training in the Navy allegedly killed herself by hanging from a ceiling in Mumbai.

The deceased has been identified as Aparna Nair, Mumbai Police stated.

“The incident took place while Aparna was undergoing training on the Indian Navy Ship (INS) Attack,” an officer said.

Navy doctors declare her dead after examination

Following the received information, Navy doctors were called in to examine the woman.

After conducting the woman’s examination, the doctors pronounced her dead, police stated.

Probe on, case filed

 The Mumbai’s Malwani police have initiated an investigation and filed a case under the ADR.
