Jamshedpur, August 25: XLRI, one of India’s premier B-schools, held its 2nd Convocation Ceremony for Blended PGDM Programmes at its Jamshedpur campus on Saturday.
The event marked a key milestone in XLRI’s mission of shaping responsible leaders committed to excellence and ethics.
The ceremony was graced by Ashwini Kumar Tewari, Managing Director, State Bank of India, as the chief guest, alongside XLRI Director Fr. Sebastian George, S.J., Dean Academics Sanjay Patro, Dean Administration & Finance Fr. Donald D’Silva, S.J., Associate Dean R. Giridhar, and programme directors.

A total of 189 students received diplomas across four specialisations: Finance (24), Human Resource Management (36), Business Management (82), and Emerging CHROs (47). The graduates also took the XLRI Pledge, affirming their commitment to ethical leadership and service to society.
To recognise academic excellence, four students were awarded Gold Medals: Sonal Arora (Emerging CHROs), Soumya Sibani Sahoo (BM), Shruti Mittra (HRM) and Sai Supriya Bhupathiraju (Finance).
Addressing the gathering, Tewari urged graduates to define success through relevance, contribution, and character, while Fr. Sebastian George invoked the timeless virtues of wisdom, fortitude, justice, and temperance as guiding principles for leadership.

Other dignitaries lauded the batch for balancing academics with professional responsibilities and emphasised XLRI’s legacy of creating leaders with integrity.
The convocation reaffirmed XLRI’s vision of preparing managers who not only excel in business but also contribute meaningfully to society and humanity.
