Jamshedpur, Sept 23: International Yoga Guru Anshu Sarkar, founder of the Sarkar Yoga Academy and President of the World Fitness Federation of Yogasana Sports India, has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Bango Gaurav-2024’ award.
The award ceremony, held at the Taj City Center in Kolkata, was organized by the World Book of Star Records in collaboration with the Alternative Medicine Development Institute, India.
Anshu Sarkar was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the promotion of yoga and his dedication to advancing the discipline on an international scale.
Dr. Swarup Prasad Ghosh, Director of the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, presented the award to Anshu, acknowledging his relentless hard work, achievements, and excellence in the field.

The event was graced by several distinguished personalities from across the country, including Swami Padmanand Ji Maharaj, Dr. Rajiv Paul, Kaushal Chaudhary, PM Prasad, Rajyashri Lahari, Dr. Pragati Bandopadhyay, Vishal Ghosh, and Padmashree Qazi Masoom Akhtar, among others.
Upon receiving the award, Anshu Sarkar expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Rajiv Paul, the organizers, and the officials of the World Book of Star Records. He also thanked the Alternative Medical System Development Institute, praising their efforts to recognize the work of individuals committed to promoting alternative medicine and wellness.
“This award is not just an honour for me but an inspiration to continue my efforts in promoting yoga globally. I am deeply thankful for this recognition, and it will motivate me to take my work to greater heights,” Anshu said in his acceptance speech.
