“Plastic surgery is one of the few surgical specialities where we work from head to toe. Every case is different and presents new challenges. That is why, even after years of practice, there is no frustration from monotony, unlike in many other surgical disciplines.”

He said the diversity of cases makes plastic surgery both intellectually stimulating and professionally rewarding.

Resident doctors and faculty members presented scientific papers on a range of clinical topics, including free flap reconstruction, vertigo treatment, oncological reconstruction and other advances in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

The presentations were delivered by Dr Arunav Roy, Dr Zainab, Dr Ritvik Prakash, Dr Jyoti Kumari, Dr Aakansha and senior plastic surgeon Dr Prince Gupta.

The scientific sessions provided a platform for young doctors to showcase their clinical research and discuss emerging treatment techniques.

Medical Quiz Encourages Academic Excellence

The celebrations began with a medical quiz on plastic surgery, in which postgraduate students participated enthusiastically.

The winning team received prizes from senior plastic surgeons Dr Ajoy Kumar Singh, Dr Arvind Prakash and Dr Anant Sinha, who commended the participants for their knowledge and competitive spirit.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr A.K. Kamal, Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery, who acknowledged the contributions of the faculty, students and guest speakers in making the event a success.
