Mumbai, Dec 2: ‘12th Fail’ actor Vikrant Massey has left fans and the film industry astonished with his revelation that he will retire from acting after 2025.
The 37-year-old actor, acclaimed for his roles in ’12th Fail’, ‘The Sabarmati Report’, and ‘Sector 36’, made the surprising announcement in an Instagram post on Monday.
“The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realize it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor,” he wrote on his Instagram post.

“So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted!” he added in his post.
He became widely known for his roles in films like ‘Lootera’ and his debut lead role in ‘A Death in the Gunj’ (2017). He continued to build his reputation as a versatile actor with impressive performances in projects such as ‘Broken But Beautiful’, ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’, ‘Haseen Dilruba’, ‘Love Hostel’, ‘Mirzapur’ and ’12th Fail’.
