Jamshedpur, Oct 4: The South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced the temporary cancellation, partial termination, and route diversion of several trains passing through the Chakradharpur railway division.
The changes, effective from October 11 to January 20, 2026, are expected to cause significant inconvenience to passengers, particularly those travelling on busy routes like the South Bihar Express.
Cancelled Trains
13288 Ara–Durg South Bihar Express — Cancelled on November 14, 21, 28 and December 5, 12.

13287 Durg–Ara South Bihar Express — Cancelled on November 15, 22, 29 and December 6, 13.
18109/18110 Tatanagar–Itwari–Tatanagar Express — Cancelled on multiple dates between Oct 11 and Jan 20.
18175/18176 Hatia–Jharsuguda–Hatia Express — Cancelled on multiple dates between Oct 11 and Jan 20.
68029/68030 Rourkela–Jharsuguda MEMU — Cancelled from Oct 11 to Dec 16.

Short Termination & Short Origin
13288 Ara–Durg South Bihar Express will operate only up to Rourkela on selected dates.
13287 Durg–Ara South Bihar Express will originate from Rourkela on certain days.
Ispat Express (22861/22862/12871/12872) will run only up to Tatanagar, Rourkela, or Jharsuguda on multiple dates.
Trains to Run on Diverted Routes
Utkal Express (18478/18477) — The Yog Nagari Rishikesh–Puri and Puri–Rishikesh services will be diverted via Jharsuguda–Sambalpur City–Cuttack, skipping Tatanagar.
13288 Ara–Durg South Bihar Express — On some days, it will operate via Kandra and Sini stations instead of Tatanagar en route to Durg.

Passenger Advisory
Railway officials at SE Railway headquarters in Kolkata have urged passengers to check the revised schedules and route diversions before planning their journey during the affected period.
The cancellations are likely due to operational and maintenance work in the Chakradharpur railway division.
