Baba Siddique, a notable minority figure representing the Congress in Mumbai, declared on February 8 that he would end his longstanding affiliation with the party, which spanned 48 years.

Following his collaboration with Ajit Pawar, he criticized the Congress, stating, “Congress does politics of perception, they want our votes but don’t want to give anything.”

He strongly condemned the party and claimed that within the Congress, he was treated akin to how “curry leaves” are utilized to add flavor to food.
