Jaipur, Nov 2: An Enforcement Officer (EO) from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and his associate were arrested by the Rajasthan Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Jaipur for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 15 lakh.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Naval Kishore Meena, the EO, and his associate, Babulal Meena, red-handed as they purportedly attempted to extort a bribe from a complainant.

The complainant alleged that in exchange for the EO not arresting him in a chit-fund case, the EO demanded a bribe of Rs 17 lakh.

After verifying the complaint, the ACB set up a trap to apprehend the EO and his associate. While allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15 lakh from the complainant, the two men were arrested.
