Mumbai, Feb 24: The makers of the Bollywood film ‘Article 370’ starring Yami Gautam, said on Saturday that the film’s first day of box-office grosses went over Rs 6.12 crore net.
‘Article 370’, which premiered in cinemas on Friday, is supported by Jio Studios and produced by Gautam’s spouse Aditya Dhar’s production company B62 Studios.
“Ek desh, ek samvidhaan ki taaqat can be witnessed at the box office! #Article370 Now In Cinemas!,”- Jio Studios posted on X along with a poster announcing that the film garnered Rs 6.12 crore NBOC on its first day.

Priyamani, Arun Govil and Kiran Karmarkar are among the other actors in the Aditya Suhas Jambhale directed movie.
On August 5, 2019, the Central government repealed Article 370, which granted special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, dividing it into the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
In a statement, multiplex chain PVR INOX Pictures announced that the movie is currently being showcased in 1,509 theaters, including strategically selected major multiplexes and single screens to enhance its reach. Furthermore, additional theaters are set to be added across the country over the weekend.
