Jamshedpur, Feb 28:  Dry and clear weather is expected to prevail over Jharkhand for the next 72 hours, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

Weathermen said there will be no significant changes in the minimum temperature in the next two days, thereafter the minimum temperature would witness a rise of three to four degrees Celsius.

Today’s satellite pictures suggested that the trough from the east central Arabian Sea to southwest Madhya Pradesh was running from northeast Arabian Sea to East Rajasthan across central parts of Gujarat at 0.9 km above the mean sea level.

A fresh active Western Disturbance is likely to affect the western Himalayan region from February 29 and the plains of northwest India from March 1.

Light rain and thunderstorms were witnessed at isolated places over the state in the past 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 30.7°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 14.1°C was recorded at Godda.
