Dhanbad, March 2: The employees’ body of Dhanbad Railway Division is gearing up for the all-India rail strike proposed on May 1 to implement the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
Strike for OPS
Media in-charge of the East Central Railway Karmchari Union (ECRKU) Dhanbad Rail Division Nilkamal Khawas said that for complete success of proposed all India Rail Roko strike, president of the central committee DK Pandey, general secretary SNP Srivastava, additional general secretary Md Ziauddin have instructed electric, traffic, Loco, commercial, medical, divisional headquarters and other departments employees to get ready for the strike.
To prepare for the proposed May 1 strike, assistant general secretary OM Prakash, organising secretary Netaji Subhash and Somen Dutta held a meeting with leaders of all 14 union branches in Dhanbad Rail Division and reviewed the preparation.

All India Railway Men’s Federation
All India Railway Men’s Federation zonal secretary OP Sharma said that since the central government did not respond to the point demand of OPS in 2023, employees have been left with no option but to call Rail Roko to strike to implement it.
“As per rules, the Federation would serve notice six weeks away on March 19 for a proposed strike on May 1,” said OP Sharma.

NK Khawas, Sunil Singh, RN Choudhary, MP Mahto, PK Ganguli, AK Bhagat, PK Sinha, Rupesh Kumar, BK Saw, I M Singh, Chandan Kumar Shukla, AK Tiwary, Ajit Kumar Mandal, BB Singh, CP Pandey, Umesh Singh, Vishwajit Singh ( all branch president, secretary held a meeting and decided to launch a campaign in their respective area of division for success of the strike.
