Dhanbad, March 8: One of the oldest social organizations of the coalfield, the Bengali Kalyan Samiti, on the occasion of International Women’s Day in a function today, felicitated the women who are doing outstanding work in different fields of society.

The women who were felicitated were advocate Rajni Mukherjee, District Board chairman Sharda Sinha, Women Police Station Officer in-charge Minu Kumari, Prof Tapti Chakraborty of Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University, Dr Sujata Hota, chief medical officer of Central Hospital, Bharat Coking Coal Limited, matron Kanak Srivastava, Dr Anupama Kumari of Dhanbad Sadar hospital and Shambhavi Singh.
On the occasion, Bengali Kalyan Samiti secretary Kanchan Dey, while outlining the outstanding contribution of felicitated women in different fields of society, said that his organisation has been felicitating extraordinary performers to recognize their contribution and encourage the women who do service with selfless feeling.
