Ranchi, April 6: In a vibrant display of creativity and talent, the Spring Camp “Urjaa – Awaken the Prodigy Within” organized by DPS Ranchi for students of Classes III to IX and XI reached its culmination amidst cheers and applause.
The programme, graced by the presence of Chief Guest Justice Deepak Roshan, Jharkhand High Court, witnessed the active participation of parents, mentors, and enthusiastic young learners.
With the focus on providing a platform for children to explore and express their talents across various disciplines, the spring camp at DPS Ranchi aimed to infuse learning with fun and excitement.
Students had the opportunity to engage in a range of activities including painting, yoga, dance, music, instruments, quiz, robotics, soft skills, photography, counselling, computer, karate and a variety of indoor and outdoor games.
Diverse activities enthrall students at camp: From model UN to robotics, art to sports
The camp featured an array of engaging activities catering to various interests and talents. Among these were, “DPSRMUN (Model United Nations Simulations)” which provided students with a platform to engage in diplomatic discussions and problem-solving, fostering critical thinking and leadership skills, “Clavis Conventus” (Quiz) activity tested students’ knowledge across different subjects and challenged them to think critically under pressure.

“Fantastic Orb of Foreign Languages” offered students the opportunity to enhance their language skills and broaden their cultural horizons through interactive sessions, “Mindful Manifest” was focused on promoting mental health awareness and personal grooming, providing students with valuable tools for self-care and well-being, “Alpha Entity” (Robotics and AI) introduced students to the exciting world of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Computer innovation encouraging hands-on learning.
“Harmony Space” provided a serene environment for yoga and meditation sessions, promoting holistic well-being and stress relief, “Artistic Alchemy” (Art and Craft) in which students’ creativity was unleashed through various art and craft activities, allowed them to explore their artistic talents.
“Euphoria” (Dance) and “Rhythmic Reverie” (Vocal and Instrumental) provided platforms for students to showcase their talents in dance and music, promoting cultural expression and teamwork, “The Limitless Legion” (Sports) offered a range of indoor and outdoor sports activities, promoting physical fitness and teamwork among students.
Tableaus were also established showcasing the various activities by the students, which were enthusiastically visited and appreciated by parents.
Students felicitated
The top three “stellar standouts” of each event were felicitated with Mementos and Merit Certificates, while every participant received a Memento and Participation Certificate.
On this day, the Rank Holders of Classes Prep to IX and XI were also felicitated, along with the JEE MAIN 2024 (Session 01) qualifiers who bagged more than 99 percentile with Medals and Certificate of Excellence.
Justice Deepak Roshan advocates for learning, adventure and personal growth
In a congratulatory note, Justice Deepak Roshan highlighted the importance of organizing spring camps in schools, emphasizing their role in nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and promoting holistic development.
He said, “Spring camps offer a unique blend of learning, adventure, and personal growth opportunities that can have a lasting impact on participants’ lives. Whether it’s developing new skills, forging meaningful connections, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, spring camps play a valuable role in enriching the lives of children who attend”.
He extended his congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm and dedication.
Additionally, Principal of DPS Ranchi, Dr. Ram Singh, expressed his pride in the students’ achievements and thanked the parents for their unwavering support in encouraging their children’s participation and growth.
