Chhattisgarh Police offers Rs 5 Lakh reward, constable jobs for information on Naxals

Kabirdham, April 16: For information regarding Naxals and their activities, the Chhattisgarh police are offering cash rewards of Rs 5 lakhs.

Superintendent of Police of Kabirdham, Abhishek Pallav stated, “Those who will share the information regarding Naxals will be rewarded with Rs 5 lakhs. The reward will be given by the government.”

“If one Naxal is arrested or killed, up to five people will be provided jobs on constable posts,” he added.

District police authorities have also conducted visits to residences within the district, disseminating details about a reward of Rs. 5 lakhs for individuals aiding in the apprehension of the Naxalites.

“This information has been circulated to 35,000 individuals in the last 3 days through pamphlets and WhatsApp. We are also forming civil defence groups in the villages to protect the villagers from the Naxalites,” Pallav stated.

Police camps opened in Naxal-affected areas

He stated that in the last three months, more than six police camps were opened in Naxal-affected areas.

“Police camps have been opened at a range of 7-8 km in Naxal-hit areas of the state. We are also running schools for small children in nine highly sensitive areas. We have arranged various sports activities for the youth. Naxalism will be eliminated from the Kawardha area in the next six months with the help of villagers,” Kabirdham SP Pallav stated.
