According to sources, Sahay, who lives in Kokar, procures forged documents from the Kolkata Registry office and sells land to several bigwigs. Recently, he was involved in a transaction to sell a large chunk of land in Chandwe, on the outskirts of Ranchi, to a Kolkata-based businessman.

These raids are being conducted on the information extracted from Saddam, the mastermind of making fake deeds, in the land scam case related to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Saddam is in the custody of the ED.
