UPSC announces results of Civil Services Exam 2023, Aditya Srivastava gets rank 1

New Delhi, April 16: With Aditya Srivastava claiming the top rank, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the results of the Civil Services Exam 2023 on Tuesday.

Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy earned the second and third ranks, respectively.

The UPSC announced that 1,016 candidates have successfully passed the examination and are now recommended for various central government services.

A sum of 1,016 candidates have been proposed for appointment across four posts: Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

Among these candidates, 347 are from the general category, 115 from EWS, 303 from OBC, 165 from SC, and 86 from ST category.

The UPSC final result for 2023 was determined through a combination of interview and written tests. The interview process for phase 1 of the UPSC CSE Mains took place from January 2 to February 16, 2024, followed by phase 2 from February 19 to March 15, and concluding with phase 3, which extended until April 9.

The UPSC CSE Mains result for 2023 was declared on December 3. The examinations were held on September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24 of the preceding year. Out of the 14,624 candidates who cleared the prelims exam, participated in the mains examination. The CSE prelims exam took place on May 28 in two sessions.
