Jamshedpur, May 13: Several areas in north-eastern and southern Jharkhand are expected to witness Nor’wester activity today, said a bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
According to the Met bulletin, thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) are likely at isolated places over north-eastern and southern Jharkhand.

Satellite pictures suggested that a cyclonic circulation over southeast Bihar and its neighbourhood was lying over eastern Jharkhand at 1.5 km above the mean sea level.
Weathermen said no major fluctuations in maximum temperature are expected during the next two days, thereafter a gradual rise by (3-4)°C in the subsequent three days is likely.
According to statistics, except for Daltonganj most places across Jharkhand recorded day’s reading below 40 degrees Celsius during the past 24 hours.
