Jamshedpur, June 7: Hot and humid conditions (usually referred to as muggy conditions) will prevail in several parts of Jharkhand today.

IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre also predicted heat wave conditions at isolated places of north-western, central, southern and adjoining north-eastern parts of the state today.

Weathermen said the day temperature would witness a rising trend in most districts across Jharkhand today. The rising trend is expected to continue for 48 hours after which day temperature will become stable.

Meanwhile, thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) are also expected at isolated places over southern and central parts of the state today.

Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of central Arabian Sea; most parts of Karnataka; some more parts of Maharashtra, Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh; most parts of west-central Bay of Bengal and some more parts of the north-west Bay of Bengal.

coastal Andhra Pradesh, some more parts of Maharashtra, Telangana, some parts of south Chhattisgarh and south Odisha, some more parts of west-central and north-west Bay of Bengal during the next 2-3 days.
