Jharkhand News: ED raids businessman in Ranchi’s Kanke Road in land scam case

Ranchi, June 21: ED is conducting raids in Kanke Road in connection with the land scam case. On Friday, the ED team began searches at the residence of land businessman Kamalesh Kumar in Aster Green located at Chandni Chowk on Kanke Road.

It is reported that the ED is conducting these raids related to the case involving Shekhar Kushwaha, who was arrested earlier in the land scam case on June 12.

Previously, in this case, a total of 21 people including Hemant Soren, former Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi, Chhavi Ranjan, JMM leader Antu Tirkey have been arrested.

Shekhar Kushwaha was the 22nd accused arrested in the land scam. During the investigation of the case of the purchase and sale of land with the help of fake documents, ED found that Shekhar is involved in the purchase and sale of 4.83 acres of land of Gadi Mauja of Bargain region.

After the arrest and interrogation of Tapas Ghosh from Kolkata Registry Office, Sanjeet Kumar, and Hazaribagh’s Deed Writer Irshad Akhtar by ED, information related to the purchase and sale of this land was obtained.
