Daltonganj, July 2: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) is toying with the idea of holding an interactive session with the journalists both print and electronic along with the cops and officials to have an easy brush with the three laws- Bhartiya Nayaya Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and Bhartiya Sakchhya Adheeniyam, 2023.
Finer points of the 3 laws
The secretary of DLSA Arpit Shrivastava was urged to hold a sitting with the journalists over the finer points of the 3 laws who on the spur of the moment agreed to have it saying the nitty gritty of it has to be well planned first.
Arpit Shrivastva said, “We have our national lok adalat this ongoing month too but we understand there is a great need for people like scribes and cops etc to know about the 3 laws.”
The Palamu DLSA works most professionally under the stewardship of the principal district and sessions judge Niraj Kumar Srivastav, who is the chairman of the DLSA here.
The journalists are eagerly looking forward to having a session where they will have their doubts and confusions removed by the battery of judicial officers.

Jharkhand High Court notice to a publishing company
Journalists are all the more cautious about the provisions of the three laws as one publishing company erred in presenting the right context or text of a particular section. The Jharkhand High Court took a strong exception and issued notice to the erring publishing company.
The publishing company must be cursing at it for the error in the bare act of the Bhartiya Nayaya Sanhita 2023 etc.
Journalists wonder if the police officers are adept at making audio videos of the crime scene, search, seizure, arrest etc as 90 per cent of them are found to be good at writing things in their time-worn diaries only.
They also want to know what measures are in for the protection of the witness as there have been instances across the country where crucial witnesses to crucial cases have been bumped off.

Again, will a cop’s diary be replaced with a state-of-the-art Android phone as vital information is to be stored in it?
Journalists here were pretty fatigued on day 1 of the 3 laws that is July 1 when FIRs used to pour in, on the maiden day of this law there was not even a trickle of the FIRs.
Palamu recorded just 2 FIRs on the very first day of the implementation of the three laws.
