PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, July 24: Most districts of Jharkhand will witness restricted rainfall activity in the next 72 hours, predicted weathermen today.

The low-pressure area over East Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Chhattisgarh has become weak.

However, an associated cyclonic circulation now lies over Jharkhand and the neighbourhood extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height.

The monsoon trough at mean sea level was passing through Bikaner, Sikar, Gwalior, Khajuraho, Ranchi, Digha extending up to 0.9 km above mean sea level.

According to weathermen, though the monsoon trough was passing through Jharkhand but it’s weak resulting in a 50 per cent rain deficit currently.

All 24 districts have failed to get inadequate rain since the onset of the monsoon and hence nine of the districts could overcome the deficit rain.
