Jamshedpur, July 24: The outlawed Naxal outfit, CPI-Maoist has carried out a postering campaign in Sonua thana area in West Singhbhum, triggering fear in the region on Wednesday.

In the banners and posters, it had also been mentioned that the CPI-Maoist will observe martyr week from July 28 which has to be made immensely successful.

The police, however, tore up all the posters and collected the banners while trying to instil confidence among the local residents.

The places where the Naxals had fixed banners and posters taking advantage of darkness on Tuesday night include Topotola Grid Chowk, Dingamarcha and Madangjahir villages in Sonua where the Naxalism has a waning influence.

Earlier on July 22, the Naxals had fixed banners and posters at the Jhumpra weekly market in Sonua, causing the vendors to set up very few number of shops there.

In the posters pasted at the Jhumpra weekly bazaar, grumblings against the police and paramilitary forces reflected.  They had called upon the locals to dislodge the paramilitary forces from Kolhan, Porahat and Saranda forest.
