Dhanbad, July 26: A team of the CBI Patna team, engaged in the investigation of the NEET paper leakage scam, on Friday in collaboration with local police, recovered seven mobile phones contained in a sac from a pond in the Sudamdih area, around 20 km away from here.
CBI takes Pawan Kumar in custody
The CBI team, which arrived here in the morning, searched the pond on the revelation of a youth identified as Pawan Kumar who was earlier picked up from the Combined Building area under the Dhanbad Sadar police station in the morning.

After taking him in custody, the CBI team interrogated him and took him away to the pond based in the Sudamdih area village where a sac containing mobile phones and some documents were fished out by local swimmers.

CBI team officials involved in the operation refused to share information about the recovery of mobile phones and other details of taking Dhanbad youth Pawan Kumar in custody. Sudamdih police station officer in-charge Vijay Kumar Rajak who helped the CBI team in the recovery operation also refused to share the names of CBI officials of Panta.
The CBI Patna team investigating the NEET paper scam has taken in custody more than five youths from different places in Dhanbad so far.
