Jamshedpur, August 22: The city witnessed a significant environmental initiative as Shiv Shankar Singh, the patron of the social organization ‘Koshish Ek Muskaan Laane Ki’ and a prominent BJP leader, led an extensive plantation drive at the Army Camp in Sonari.
The event saw the planting of various fruit-bearing, medicinal, and dense shady plants, with a strong commitment from the army personnel to nurture and care for these trees until they reach maturity.

During the event, Shiv Shankar Singh emphasized the importance of environmental protection and the role every individual plays in it. “Protection and promotion of the environment is the responsibility of every person. Let us all create such opportunities and fulfil our social duty by planting a large number of trees,” Singh remarked. He also expressed his gratitude towards the army soldiers for their active participation and support in this noble cause.
This plantation drive is a part of a broader effort by the organization to enhance green cover and contribute to environmental sustainability in the region.
