Kathmandu, August 23: A major accident has occurred in Nepal. An Indian passenger with 40 onboard bus fell into the Marsyangdi River in the Abukhaireni area of Tanahun district. The Nepal Police have confirmed this incident.
According to DSP Deepak Kumar Rai of the District Police Office, Tanahun, the bus with the registration number UP FT 7623 from Uttar Pradesh fell into the river.

According to the information, rescue and relief operations are ongoing following the accident. So far, 14 bodies have been recovered, and 16 injured passengers have been safely rescued.
The bus was carrying 40 Indian passengers who had stayed at Majheri Resort in Pokhara and was en route to Kathmandu.
The cause of the bus falling into the river is currently under investigation.
