New Delhi, August 26: For the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP on Monday announced 16 candidates for the first phase in two separate lists. The first list featured 15 candidates while the second named only one candidate

The BJP announced its updated first list of 15 candidates earlier in the day for the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, slated for September 18.

Only hours after releasing the first list, the BJP announced a second list for the first phase of the elections, which featured just one candidate, Choudhary Roshan Hussain Gujjar from Kokernag (ST).

Earlier today, the BJP released a list of 44 candidates but later retracted it. The withdrawn list included 15 candidates for the first phase, 10 for the second phase, and 19 for the third phase.
