Varanasi, Nov 18: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) was granted 10 more days by the Varanasi district court on Saturday to submit their scientific survey report about the Gyanvapi mosque complex.

Previously, the ASI had a deadline of November 17 to submit the report, but its legal representative requested an additional 15 days from the court on Friday.

Madan Mohan Yadav, the counsel representing the Hindu side, stated that the ASI requested an extension because the technical report was not available.

During the Saturday hearing, District Judge A K Vishvesh instructed the ASI to present its report by November 28.

On November 2, the ASI informed the court that it had “completed” the survey but might require additional time to compile the report, including details about the survey equipment. Subsequently, the court extended the deadline to November 17 for document submission.

On October 5, the court extended the deadline for the ASI by four weeks, specifying t that the survey duration would not be prolonged beyond this period.
