Ranchi, Sept. 9: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that the previous government kept most of the eligible people here deprived of the pension scheme.

“But now the government has made such a law that now all the elderly people in villages are getting pension,” he added.

Agricultural loans waived

The chief minister said that today his government has waived the agricultural loans of the farmers; the outstanding electricity bills of the poor are being waived; and electricity consumers are getting 200 units of electricity free.

“Schools were built on the lines of private schools for children to study,” he pointed out.

Addressing the “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar” programme organized at Kailudih ground under Gandey block of Giridih district, Soren said every section has got the benefit, bringing smiles to the faces of women.

Guruji Credit Card

Soren said that schemes like Savitribai Phule Samridhi Yojana and Guruji Credit Card are being run focusing on a good education system for the coming generation of the state.

The chief minister said that now daughters are not a burden, and requested all the people to provide higher education to their daughters.

“Now the state government will help them in all things including education, and marriage of the daughters of the state,” he assured.

The chief minister said that the state government is making arrangements for free food in the hostels of all the tribal and minority-class children of the state so that the children can pay more attention to their studies.

He said that earlier only tractors and ploughs were provided to the villagers for agricultural work, but his government is providing tractors as well as many vehicles including Scorpio, Bolero, buses, and autos to the rural unemployed people so that more and more people can join their self-employment.

Over 50 lakh women to get an honorarium

The chief minister said that four lakh women of Giridih have got the benefit of Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainiya Samman Yojana.

“Now, daughters between the ages of 18 and 20 will also get the benefit of this scheme. This is a continuous scheme,” he added.
