Jamshedpur, Sept 23: Some places in north-eastern Jharkhand is expected to witness heavy rain after the next 48 hours, due to the impact of two cyclonic circulations.

IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre predicted heavy showers in isolated places around mid-week due to the impact of the twin cyclonic circulations.

Today ie., on Monday there is a possibility of thundershowers activity in some places, according to the Met office forecast.

The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Bikaner, Guna, Sagar, Bilaspur, Chandbali and thence southeastwards to west central Bay of Bengal.

An east-west trough runs from Andhra Pradesh coast to south coastal Myanmar with two embedded upper air cyclonic circulations, one over West Central Bay of Bengal and another over south coastal Myanmar extending up to 5.8 Km above mean sea level.

Under the influence of these two upper air cyclonic circulations, a low-pressure area is likely to form over west central Bay of Bengal, said weathermen.

Statistics revealed that Jharkhand was facing a rainfall deficit of 3 per cent. Weathermen said there won’t be any significant changes in both the maximum and minimum temperatures in the next two days.
