Jamshedpur, Oct 4: Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC), a prominent body representing the Sikh community in Kolhan, has extended its social service by providing the facility of a mobile deep freezer for the city’s residents. This new service will enable families to safely preserve the body of their deceased loved ones at home before the last rites are performed.
The mobile deep freezer was donated by local businessman Bhakt Vatsal Sahu, along with his family, Vikas Sahu, and the entire Sahu family.
On Friday, the Sahu family officially handed over the deep freezer to CGPC at its office in Sakchi, in the presence of prominent CGPC officials including Sardar Bhagwan Singh, Sardar Shailendra Singh, Chanchal Singh, Gurnam Singh Bedi, Sukhwinder Singh Raju, Jaspal Singh Jasse, and Taranpreet Singh Banni.

“Apart from religious duties, CGPC remains fully committed to its social responsibilities. We already offer services like ambulances and hearse vehicles, and now, with the addition of a mobile deep freezer, we are further equipped to assist the community,” he said.
CGPC General Secretary Amarjit Singh (9934191808) can be contacted to avail of the deep freezer service, which will be delivered to the homes of those in need.
Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh emphasized that the facility would be particularly useful for families requiring a way to preserve the body until the final rites are arranged, allowing them to keep their loved ones at home during such times.
