Dhanbad, Oct 5: A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable, identified as Akash Kumar, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at the Layakdih CISF camp under Chirkunda police station on Saturday morning, police sources confirmed. The camp is located approximately 40 kilometres from the district headquarters.

According to Ramji Ray, the officer in-charge of Chirkunda police station, Akash Kumar, aged 24 and a resident of Pathankot, Punjab, had been posted at the Layakdih CISF Post just a month ago. His fellow constables discovered his body hanging from the ceiling fan early in the morning and immediately alerted the police.
