Jamshedpur, Oct 15: The Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA) in Jamshedpur is proud to announce the commencement of its foreign exposure tour to the Netherlands where 24 talented cadets, accompanied by NTHA coaches and support staff, will compete against the prestigious Den Bosch Hockey Club.

The exposure tour which started on October 14 marks a significant opportunity for the young players to enhance their skills and gain valuable international experience.

Cultural exchange and high-performance training

The exposure tour to Hockey Club Den Bosch is designed to enrich the players with cultural insights, enhance their strength and conditioning (S&C) in line with European methodologies, and provide an in-depth understanding of international academy structures.

The Netherlands, known for its exceptional hockey tradition, will serve as the ideal setting for the cadets to immerse themselves in a high-performance environment.

The exchange of culture is a central focus of this tour, allowing the young athletes to experience firsthand the global nature of the sport. By training alongside European players and learning from renowned Dutch coaches, the cadets will gain valuable insights into different training techniques and strategies.

Focus on Strength and Conditioning

A major aspect of the tour is the emphasis on Strength & Conditioning (S&C) programs that are widely practised in Europe.

The cadets will be introduced to European-style physical training routines designed to optimize athletic performance, enhance recovery, and prevent injuries. This exposure will not only develop their endurance, agility, and strength but will also elevate their overall fitness standards to meet international benchmarks.

Learning from top academy structures

During their time in the Netherlands, the cadets and coaches will get the opportunity to observe and learn from some of the most advanced academy setups in the world. They will interact with academy directors and coaches to gain knowledge about structured player development pathways, coaching methodologies, and sports science integration, which are crucial for building a sustainable elite athlete pipeline.

The tour is a milestone for NTHA, reinforcing its commitment to producing world-class players and giving them the tools they need to succeed on the global stage.
