Dhanbad, Oct 16: IIT (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad and IIT Roorkee will jointly organise an education exchange programme in November or December to foster interaction and promote mutual understanding among students from both prestigious institutions.
An IIT ISM Dhanbad official said that the programme will provide students with an opportunity to explore tourism, traditions, development, and foster people-to-people contact between Jharkhand and Uttarakhand.
Participants will gain insight into the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and diverse social traditions of both states through the use of technology.

Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat scheme
This joint initiative is being conducted under the Government of India’s Human Resource Development Department’s “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (EBSB) scheme.
Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015, the EBSB programme aims to actively enhance cultural interaction between people from different states in the country.
The official added that individuals aged 18 to 30 can participate in the programme by registering through the Yuva Sangam Portal by October 21. IIT ISM will provide updates on the Students Exchange Programme through its social media platforms.
