The court declared that the trial would proceed on a day-to-day basis starting November 11.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) named Roy as the sole prime accused in the case in its initial charge-sheet submitted last month.
The CBI’s charge-sheet also suggested the possibility of a broader conspiracy involved in the crime.
On August 9, a 31-year-old female trainee doctor was found with injuries in a seminar hall at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. An autopsy later revealed that she had been raped before being murdered. The accused, Sanjoy Roy, a civic volunteer, was arrested on August 10.
The junior doctors began protests and work boycotts following the incident.
