Jharkhand News: Three killed in road mishap in Seraikela-Kharsawan

Jamshedpur, Nov 4: Three persons were killed and two others injured as a speeding mini truck collided head-on with a trailer on Rajnagar-Chaibasa road under the Rajnagar thana area in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district about 30 km away from here in the early hours on Monday.

The mishap took place along Kalapather village causing both the vehicles to get completely twisted and destroyed.

The impact of the collision was so severe the trailer caught fire, causing the driver to get charred on the spot and the driver as well as the cleaner of the mini truck to die on the spot.

Two labourers sitting in the mini truck behind escaped with minor injuries. The injured identified as Chhotu Oraon and Satyendra Oraon, residents of Palamu and Chatra respectively, were taken to a nearby health hub by the police which had rushed to the mishap spot immediately after getting the information about the mishap.

In the morning the police had to press a gas cutting machine to retrieve the bodies from the twisted vehicles.

The bodies of those killed are yet to be identified, and the police are trying to get them identified.

It may be mentioned here that heavy vehicles, including buses, trucks and trailers ply recklessly on the Rajnagar-Chaibasa road with the local police doing nothing to curb the reckless driving which causes frequent fatal mishaps on the stretch.
