New Delhi, Dec 2: On the fifth working day of the Parliament’s Winter Session on Monday, Congress MP Manickam Tagore gave a notice for a suspension of business on the Adani issue. Meanwhile, Congress MP Amar Singh also gave a notice for a suspension of business in the Rajya Sabha.
As soon as the proceedings began in the Lok Sabha, Speaker Om Birla started the Question Hour. However, as soon as the proceedings began, opposition members reached the well of the House while raising slogans.
Speaker Om Birla appealed to allow the house to function and let the Question Hour proceed, but the members continued their protest. Due to the disruption, the Speaker adjourned the House proceedings until 12 PM.

When the proceedings resumed at 12 PM, the chaos started again. Apart from the Adani issue, members of opposition parties, including Congress and the Samajwadi Party, also raised a ruckus over the violence issue in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Following this, Om Birla adjourned the Lok Sabha proceedings until tomorrow.
Meanwhile, in the Rajya Sabha, opposition members also started a protest over the Adani issue and other matters. In response, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar lashed out at the opposition. He appealed to let the House function in the name of the people of the country and the Constitution, but the disruption continued. Opposition members continued to raise slogans.
Following this, the Chairman adjourned the Rajya Sabha proceedings until 12 PM. When the protest persisted after 12 PM, Jagdeep Dhankhar adjourned the Rajya Sabha until tomorrow.
