Dhanbad, Dec 7: The legal Service Unit for Children squad of the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) on Saturday rescued four orphan children in the Rajganj area of the district and rehabilitated them at Kastuba Gandhi Awasiya Vidyalaya.
Civil Judge First Division cum DLSA secretary Rakesh Roshan told media persons today that Principal District and Session Judge Virendra Kumar Tiwari got information that four orphans were roaming in the remote Chungi village of Rajganj. Their mother had died from cancer five months ago and in shock, their father also committed suicide.
He directed the DLSA secretary to constitute a team and rescue all four orphan girl children immediately.

On the directive of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, the DLSA secretary set up a committee under retired judge Piyush Kumar to rescue the children. The team reached the village and rescued them.
Besides Piyush Kumar, DCPO Sadhana Kumari, LADCS deputy chief Ajay Kumar Bhatt, assistant Rajesh Kumar, PLB Deepak Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, Kajal Kumari and Richa Prasad were members of the team that rescued.
On the directive of the DLSA Chairman-cum- Principal District and Session Judge, the District Child Protection unit arranged school kits, blankets and two times meals for them. They have also been attached to welfare schemes of the government.
DCPO Sadhana Kumari said that a process has been initiated to get them admitted at Kasutba Gandhi Awasiya Vidyalaya so that they get proper nurture.
