Ranchi, Dec 9: Chief Minister Hemant Soren inspected the Smart City Ranchi residential complex today, which includes newly constructed bungalows designated for state government ministers.

During his visit, the Chief Minister provided detailed instructions to officials regarding various aspects of the newly constructed residences. He emphasised that all work on the bungalows and the surrounding residential complex must be completed by January 15, 2025, enabling the allocation of houses to the ministers.

As part of his inspection, the Chief Minister reviewed facilities such as the clubhouse, badminton court, and police barracks within the complex. He also instructed officials to ensure proper arrangements for recreational areas for children, including swings and other play equipment.

Features of Newly Constructed Bungalows

The residential complex, located within the Smart City campus near Dhurwa, features 11 newly constructed bungalows with modern designs and state-of-the-art amenities. Just 3 kilometres from the State Assembly, the project spans 11 acres and was developed for Rs 108 crore by the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company Limited (JUIDCO). The bungalows seamlessly blend luxury with functionality.

Each white-painted bungalow offers two floors of elegant living space.

  • Ground Floor: A master bedroom, two additional bedrooms, a kitchen, a drawing room, a puja room, one guest room, and servant quarters.
  • First Floor: Three children’s bedrooms, making the houses ideal for families.

The bungalows are surrounded by expansive lawns, and the complex features a shared clubhouse for recreational activities.

Security is a top priority, with sensor-locked doors, 24/7 surveillance, and dedicated guard rooms. Adjacent ministerial offices ensure smooth administration and governance.

Dignitaries Present During the Visit

The inspection was attended by MLA Kalpana Soren, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department Sunil Kumar, Secretary of the Building Construction Department Arwa Rajkamal, Smart City CEO Amit Kumar, GM of Smart City Rakesh Nandkuliar, and several other officials.

The Chief Minister’s directive marks a clear commitment to ensuring the timely readiness of these facilities, aligning with the state’s focus on enhancing infrastructure and governance efficiency.
