Tata Archery Academy’s Ankita wins two gold, one silver

Jamshedpur, Dec 21: Tata Archery Academy’s (TAA) Ankita Bhakat won two gold and one silver medal whereas Komalika Bari clinched one gold medal in the Senior National Archery Championship 2024 organised by the Jharkhand Archery Association in collaboration with the Archery Association of India, NTPC and Tata Steel.

Jharkhand women’s recurve team consisting of Ankita, Komalika and Tamanna clinched gold defeating the team from Madhya Pradesh.

Ankita won silver in the women’s recurve category and gold in the ranking round. Her score in the ranking tournament was 667/720. Deepika, ex Tata Archery Academy cadet won gold in the women’s recurve category.

Arjun Munda, president, Archery Association of India, was the chief guest for the Closing Ceremony.

Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel was the guest of honour.

Others guests present were Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports Tata Steel, Hemant Gupta, Head Sports Academies and Adventure Programme, Tata Steel, Padma Shree Purnima Mahato, Head Coach Tata Archery Academy and other distinguished officials from the field of archery.

The championship continues to celebrate the spirit of archery, bringing together athletes from across the nation to compete at the highest level.

Tata Archery Academy remains proud of its athletes, who consistently demonstrate exceptional skill and determination.
