Chandigarh, Nov 30: As part of an alleged money laundering investigation related to a forest scam, the Enforcement Directorate raided several places in Punjab on Thursday, official sources stated. The raids targeted contractors as well as former state forest minister and Congress leader Sadhu Singh Dharamsot.
Searches at 14 locations
The agency is conducting searches at approximately 14 locations in the state under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), sources stated.
The agency is currently conducting searches at the properties of Dharamsot, aged 63, one forest contractor and several others, as reported by sources.

Dharamsot arrested earlier
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau arrested the five-time MLA Dharamsot earlier this year in connection with a case involving allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.
