New Delhi, Feb 7: After the Delhi elections, political tensions have escalated, with the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP engaging in a war of words. Reports suggest that Delhi LG VK Saxena has ordered an investigation into AAP leaders’ allegations that BJP offered ₹15 crore to their members.

Following the order, an ACB team reached the residences of former CM Arvind Kejriwal, MP Sanjay Singh, and Mukesh Ahlawat. The LG stated that a thorough probe by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is necessary to uncover the truth behind these claims.

According to reports, Delhi BJP General Secretary Vishnu Mittal had written a letter to Delhi LG VK Saxena, requesting him to direct the Anti-Corruption Bureau or any other investigative agency to register an FIR and investigate the allegations made by Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh that AAP’s seven sitting MLAs were offered a bribe of ₹15 crore.

The Principal Secretary to the Delhi LG has written to the Chief Secretary of Delhi, directing an ACB investigation into allegations of bribery offers to Aam Aadmi Party MLAs.

The inquiry order was issued following a complaint by the BJP to the Delhi LG, asserting that the allegations were false and baseless and aimed at damaging the BJP’s reputation while inciting panic and unrest in Delhi right after polling concluded on February 5.

Following the Delhi Assembly elections on Wednesday, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh accused the BJP on Thursday, alleging that seven AAP MLAs had received phone calls offering ₹15 crore. He further claimed that the BJP had initiated “Operation Lotus” in Delhi and asserted that names and evidence would be disclosed at the right time.
