Dhanbad, Feb 20: A team of students from BIT Sindri’s Electrical Engineering Department visited Hindustan Urvarak Rasayan Limited (HURL) to gain hands-on experience and understand the operational processes of the public sector unit.

Practical exposure to industrial operations

During the two-day visit, students observed the production processes of urea and ammonia, studied industrial security guidelines, and learned about power plant and generator system operations. The students also toured different units of the plant to understand the complex manufacturing processes firsthand.

“The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with on-the-spot practical exposure to an industrial environment, enabling them to apply this knowledge in the engineering field,” said Dr. Md Abul Kalam, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at BIT Sindri.
