Ranchi, March 3: In a major relief for more than a dozen accused in the first JPSC appointment scam, the Jharkhand High Court has stayed the summons issued by the Ranchi CBI Special Court. The court has also put a hold on any coercive action against the accused who approached the High Court, at least until the next hearing, scheduled for April 16.
The CBI had earlier requested the court to issue non-bailable warrants against 21 charge-sheeted accused in the JPSC scam case. After the CBI Special Court issued a summons, a warrant was sought for those who failed to appear in court, either in person or through their advocates. In response, some of the accused moved the High Court, leading to this latest order.
