New Delhi, April 28: India and France have finalized a ₹63,000 crore government-to-government agreement for the purchase of 26 Rafale Marine combat aircraft, specially tailored for Indian carrier operations.
The Indian Navy confirmed that the deal was signed at the Defence Ministry headquarters in South Block, New Delhi.

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh signed on behalf of India, while the French Ambassador to India represented France. Defence Ministers from both nations also joined the signing ceremony virtually.
Under the contract, India will acquire 22 single-seater and 4 twin-seater Rafale M jets, designed to meet Indian operational and carrier-specific requirements.
The agreement follows the earlier approval granted by the Cabinet Committee on Security earlier this month.
