This gathering is part of a series of ongoing strategy sessions led by Modi in the aftermath of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, reflecting India’s calibrated response on both military and diplomatic fronts.

The security meeting came just days after India and Pakistan announced a mutual agreement to cease all hostilities—whether on land, in the air, or at sea—with immediate effect. The rare understanding between the two nations has raised hopes of de-escalation along the Line of Control and other sensitive areas.
